Why do we need this support matrix?

Team members feel overloaded; some need more work within Data Ops and Data Engineering. It may create a potential risk of burnout and stress for team members. Besides that, we may need more resources to support when the demand from business increases.


Therefore, balancing the work between team members and creating a primary and backup support matrix is necessary. We also need to maintain transparency about this model so that everyone will know who is the primary or backup support for a particular area.

Success indicators

  • Team members experience work-life balance and have more time to catch up with the rapid changes in their expertise areas.

  • Management has visibility on their team members' workload and can plan further regarding resources.

  • Businesses can also benefit from this matrix as the team can deliver the result quicker.
