SiteConnect Certification Guide

 

Overview

SiteConnect certification will be undertaken once the development of all functionality has been completed. It is important to note that testing (including negative testing) of all developed SiteConnect API functionality should be completed prior to certification. The certification process is conducted by the partner answering various questions related to the functionalities that you are supporting. The certification process must be completed using information presented on the partner system, not the information presented within the partner SiteMinder test account.

During certification, you will have restricted access to your SiteMinder test account.

Once certification is completed, the results will be reviewed by SiteMinder’s Partner Integrations team. SiteMinder and the Partner Integrations team reserve the right to delay deployment to SiteMinder’s production environments until they are satisfied with the results.

Availability, Stop Sell and Reservation Delivery functionalities are mandatory for all SiteConnect connections.


How Does the Certification Work?

Availability, Restrictions and Rates: you will be asked various questions related to the functionality that you have selected and the number of questions will vary depending on the functionality you are supporting. The questions should be answered and returned back to us within the certification window. If the certification is not completed by this time, the Partner Integrations team will provide an alternative time to attempt the certification process again.

Reservations: you will be asked to perform several scenarios, if you are able to create the reservations you will need to do it within your platform sending them through to SiteConnect and providing us with the Reservation IDs. If you are not able to create the reservations, explain the reason. If your platform supports sending modifications and/or cancellations, you will be also asked to complete some scenarios.

SiteMinder Partner Integrations will review your responses to ensure they comply with the SiteConnect API correctly. Any feedback will be provided via email.


Certification Requirements

The SiteMinder Partner Integrations team will config this in your test account.

  • A minimum of 2 room rates (one per room type) must be connected to your system and enabled in your SiteMinder Manager test account. You should be aware of the corresponding rooms in your system.

  • These room rates must be managed independently (not using derived rates or availability).

  • A minimum 60 day update period (the number of future dates that SiteConnect is updating).
